I grew up in Pikeville, and remember this well!

I live in Pike County, Kentucky. The same town these kids are from. I was born, raised and still reside in this God fearing coal town. I am the same age as Natasha. I remember vividly when is happened and how it affected our small town. I remember seeing the pictures of the hotel room they partied in that night and later in life, as an adult I worked with a girl that was at that "blood drinking" party, (she also appears in the documentary on Netflix). I asked her was there "devil worship" or satanic seances and most of what is widely believed to have fueled these murders. Her answer to me, simply put was no. No they did not worship the devil, no they didn't do seances and try to raise the dead or whatever. These kids were all just basically lost, abused, mistreated, and so on..tortured by themselves. They did suck on each others arms that night, "drinking" one anothers blood, or so I was told. She said that she knew not of any plan to go on a "killing spree". It was basically a few of the kids from the party that decided they were gonna take off and head to New Orleans, where they assumed they would "fit in". Eric Conn, Natasha's original attorney (who is now in a whole lotta hot water himself with the government), he seems to love the limelight! If there has ever been an "attention whore" it is Eric C. Conn! It was him that started the devil worship tall tale.
Now I don't claim to have knowledge of any facts. I did not know any of the convicted personally. I only know the rumors and what I have asked people and researched for myself. The author of this very short book seems to have the basics of the murders correct from what I can tell, but she definitely could havedug a bit deeper. I wish this book had of been longer and more in depth. There is A LOT more to this story and if a book were to be written for real, I would hope for a little more investigating and interviews with people that know the people that had their lives stolen by drug crazed teenagers and the people that have knowledge of them too. This "book" was more like a paper written for a college writing course, and was poorly done at that.

absorbing rainforest setting and cracker dynamics

Grace Thacker is such a breath of fresh air. Innocent, trusting and loyal, she is a clear hearted heroine. Despite her soft nature and dislike of confrontations, Grace is determined not to lose courage before Rafael's ferocious anti-social presence and boy is that hard. He really is a darkly driven, cynical person but all will be satisfyingly revealed. It’s a wonder I could draw breath again after Rafael reveals his painful beginnings (no spoilers – you’ll have to read it yourself)
There is a huge shock for Grace when she discovers why Rafael will no longer bankroll her puzzling successful business with no profit (it’s a great twister – you gotta read it!) some even bigger shocks that nearly flatten her. Sarah Morgan very cleverly and sensitively brings in a painful disability that explains a lot of the problems destroying Grace’s dynamic business and also gives Rafael and Grace a new slant on their relationship.
An unusual Brazilian rainforest setting with some nice ecosystem, local community, fair trading touches. I notice another reviewer critique this as a Star Bucks rip off which I think is what makes this story relatable because we can all relate to fair trading. Especially for the small communities living in near poverty, getting ripped off on their back breaking, labour whilst companies make obscene profits. No wonder Rafael is so unforgiving. A great, unmarred story.

Ho hum

The hero isn't very nice to the herione, thinks she is a thief, they are thrown together for a couple of days and fall in love. Um, no - They fell in lust. I want a love story, not just a lust story. I was not sold on the happily ever after. Why do authors keep trying to write a love story that takes place over two days? It is really, really hard to make that work and most people fail.

This was a keeper. What a fun story. Most of the book take's place in Brazil and I liked the jungle setting. I read tons of Harlequin Presents and this one was a favorite.I really liked the lead characters. I will be looking for more of Sarah Morgan's books.

Good book, not for novices.

Traders reading this book should have a basic understanding of technical analysis and charting.

I am familiar with Carolyn's work and this book really does explain 95% of the trading methodology she uses in her trading room.

You do not need the software (Dynamic Trader) mentioned in the book to use her setups. It makes it more convenient (especially the time cycle setups) but any halfway decent trading platform makes it pretty easy to apply the techniques.

As with any trading technique, risk management and mental mastery are as important as the actual entry/exit strategies.

FINALLY A NEW TAKE ON FIBONACCI TRADING

To start off I would like nothing more than to take this golden nugget of a book and lock it up never to be seen by anyone except for me, but alas I feel it a duty to give an honest review on what I believe to be a great NEW take on fibonacci trading. I use the term NEW loosely, it's new to most traders because I've never found anyone who teaches what Carolyn covers in depth here, and I feel it offers more value than all the other fib systems that have been around for years.
I've had the pleasure of meeting the author at a seminar in Los Angeles back in Feb 08, and if I have ever seen anyone working their butt off putting their system to the test on a daily basis it was Carolyn(and no I dont work for her). It was simply amazing to see this method which I had not tried or heard about(I've been trading over 9years) of applying fibonacci levels overlapping each other to confirm setups for potential trades, symmetry setups and time and price confluence and cycles creating a robust set of tools for improving ones trading results. And her results were phenomenal, the prices would react like magnets on the charts she had clusters layed up on, I don't know how else to put it other than impressive! One of the great things about this book is that it's full of charts on almost every page, with a topic like this its nice to see plenty of visual elements to keep you focused on the material being taught, the writing is clear and concise and even though most people will doze off when reading trading books the information is to the point, enough to keep you awake and plugging away at it. Believe me financial books are the number one cure for insomniacs!!!!
I have to say in my opinion this book is not for a total newbie to trading, it would help if you've at least read one or two other books on trading(not investing) or chart reading, because this books is clearly focused on applying Fibonacci techniques to your trading, its not an intro book on how to trade. One thing to note, she is using a specialty program to draw her charts, thats not available on any trading platforms(I use TradeStation,Omnitrader) or charting websites. So if you want to draw it the way she has you many consider purchasing the program, it may be a good investment in your trading career, or you could always sign up to her Trading Room where she does all the work for you.
I truly believe using whats taught here is a great set of tools to add to any strategy or system to improve your probability of having winning trades, and I am glad she chose to share her knowledge and expertise to help more traders find success.!

I think some of the other reviewers are a bit harsh when considering this book. It presents a great trading methodology in and of itself. I was already familiar with fibonacci trading and trading convergences already but this book added a great deal to my trading knowledge. I use many of her methods and subscribe to Carolyn's free e-mails and have learned a lot from her. I use the lower level charts from hourly down to the 5 minute and this method works like a charm. Anyone wanting to learn the basics of fibonacci can easily learn it free doing searches on the internet. Add this book and it just gets better. I would like to have the dynamic trader software for the time aspect but still manage to use my charts from FXCM with her methods. This book will greatly add some sound methodology which will add tics or pips to any traders game. Most people do not understand nor want to hear trading is not easy, takes a great deal of pain and hard work to get right. After you learn the methods 90% of trading is self-mastery with 90% of the latter being patience. Having an ability to get up after repeatedly failing and falling flat on your face also helps. If you are looking for a get rich quick scheme, hitting home runs, doing minimal work, and have a low tolerance for frustration then good luck Pal because you are guaranteed to fail at trading...I highly recommend this book without reservation but honestly you owe it to yourself to learn as much about the market as you can because that is what it will take to succeed...that and endurance. Never Give UP!

About the Author
Debora Halpern Wenger, a 17-year broadcast news veteran, is associate professor and director of undergraduate journalism at the University of Mississippi. She is also a former associate professor at Virginia Commonwealth University. Prior to her academic appointment, she served as assistant news director at WFLA-TV in Tampa, Fla. She started her career as a reporter/anchor at KXJB in Fargo, N.D., moved on to producing at WBBH in Ft. Myers, Fla., and WMUR in Manchester, N.H., then became executive producer at WSOC in Charlotte, N.C. Wenger conducts multimedia training in newsrooms across the country and is co-author of the broadcast, online and mobile journalism curricula for the Society of Professional Journalists' Journalism Training Program. She has been invited to work as visiting faculty for the Poynter Institute. She is co-author of Advancing the Story: Journalism in a Multimedia World and has a BA from what is now known as Minnesota State University and an MA from University of North Carolina-Charlotte. Deborah Potter is a veteran journalist and educator who spent 16 years as a network correspondent for CBS News and CNN. She is executive director of NewsLab (www.newslab.org), a non-profit resource for journalists that she founded in 1998. She also has hosted and reported for PBS programs and anchored radio news. Potter leads workshops for journalists on writing, multimedia, and ethics. She is a former faculty associate at the Poynter Institute and is the author of the "Handbook of Independent Journalism." She has a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MA from American University.

All who have suffered psychological distress should read this book. It is a message of hope from one who has been there and back. Caroline Fei-Yeng Kwok has had first hand experience with mental illness and has put that experience into beautiful words so that everyone can benefit. She describes her difficult times, her treatments and her mistreatments. She also describes her recovery. Seven dimensions of recovery from mental illnesses have recently been more explicitly delineated (1). The first has to do with independence in decision-making. This was difficult for Fei-Yeng to achieve because she came from a culture that valued submission and co-dependence. Obedience is what her parents expected of her and she yielded, even though she now lived in North America and autonomy is what she secretly yearned for. It led to difficulties in her relationship with her mother and meant that, despite the closeness that had always existed within her family, she had to look elsewhere to establish a network of friends who could provide support she needed the second listed dimension of recovery. She also had to adopt a new social role once she lost her previous three identities, those of a wife, a traditional Chinese woman, a teacher. It was when she assumed her new role as writer that her recovery began. She also worked with a trusted therapist and chose to stay on medication even though wrongful prescription of medication had almost killed her. About the Author
Caroline Fei-Yeng Kwok was born in Hong Kong. After attending Ying Wa Girls School in Hong Kong, she went to study English Literature at the University of Minnesota in 1970. She graduated with Summa Cum Laude and an Honours Award. She then returned to Hong Kong and taught English as a Second Language at the University of Hong Kong before her immigration to Canada in 1974. In 1975, Caroline received her Bachelor of Education from the University of Toronto and started teaching with the Toronto District School Board. In 1982, she received her Master of Education from the Ontario Institute For Studies In Education, University of Toronto. In the summer of 1996, she was admitted to the Creative Writing Department at Yale University. Prior to her admission, three of her articles were published in the Toronto Star. In 2001, she attended the Humber School for Writers Summer Program in Toronto. She studied at the New York State Summer Writers Institute in 2004. In 2001, Caroline was the recipient of the 2001 Courage To Come Back Award sponsored by the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in Toronto. Caroline is a published writer. Her articles have appeared in Psychiatric Services, Cross Currents and Visions Magazine. She is the author of The Tormented Mind. Free to Fly is a non-fiction about her own experience as a Chinese woman afflicted with manic-depression.

Good information

This book helps the reader to understand some of the stigma behind mental illness, particularly bipolar. Bipolar people are special, wonderful, often very creative people who need love and understanding just like other people. If there was more love, understanding, and caring, perhaps there would be less need for medication, which as Ms. Kwok expresses in her book, did not help her. I found the book to be very inspiring.
